PT Mitra Investindo Tbk ("Perseroan") was established on 16 September 1993 and started operations in multifinance services in 1994. In July 1997, it listed all its shares on the Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchanges under the name PT Maharani Intifinance Tbk or MITI. Over time, the company underwent several business transformations, including financial advisory services in 2000, granite mining during 2006-2018, and the oil and gas industry sector in 2014-2020. In early 2021, its main business shifted to domestic shipping services through the acquisition of 99.81% of PT Wasesa Line. In December 2022, it expanded its portfolio in shipping and stevedoring by acquiring 99% of PT Pelayaran Karana Line and 70% of PT Karya Abdi Luhur. Currently, the company operates in mining, construction, trading, and services, with a focus on shipping and logistics.
