Mirabito Energy Products is a family-owned and -operated energy, HVAC and home comfort provider in the northeastern United States. Its history began in 1926-1927 when Italian immigrant James Mirabito started a coal business known as James Mirabito Coal Dealer in Norwich, NY, incorporated in 1927. The company now serves homes and businesses across New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island, offering propane, heating oil, Bioheat® fuel, diesel, premium gasoline, natural gas, electricity, HVAC services and convenience stores.

Mirabito's history began in 1926-1927 when James Mirabito, an Italian immigrant, started a coal business known as James Mirabito Coal Dealer in Norwich, NY; the company was incorporated in 1927. In the 1940s, Thomas opened a Sidney, NY branch by purchasing H.M. Bloxham Coal & Feed, and James signed a distributor agreement with ARCO to sell home heating oil in Norwich, Sidney and nearby areas; in 1948 he purchased a bulk oil terminal in Sidney and became a Mobil Oil home heating oil distributor. In 1952 ownership passed to James's four sons — Thomas, Rosario, Angelo and Anthony — and the company was incorporated as James Mirabito & Sons, Inc.; in the following years the company acquired businesses in Greene, Bainbridge and Unadilla, and the brothers started an asphalt business.
