Minsk Soft Drinks Factory

Minsk Soft Drinks Factory (MZBN) is a Belarusian beverage company. According to its official website, it is the leading enterprise in Belarus for production of carbonated and non-carbonated mineral and potable waters, alcohol-free and low-alcohol beverages, with mineral water production as its main specialization. Its production is based on its own sources, with six artesian wells at depths from 106 to 418 m on the plant territory, and a total plant capacity of over 21 mln. daL per year. Its brand portfolio includes БЕЛА-КОЛА, БЕРЕЗОВЫЙ СОК, БИЗОН, КВАСЫЧ, ЛЕДЯНОЙ ЧАЙ, МОРС, МИНСКАЯ-4, МИНСКАЯ ПИТЬЕВАЯ, МУЛЬТИТЭЛЬ, РОСИНКА, POP Shot, ФАН-ФАН, FUNtastic, FUNtea and Lemmove (for export).

According to the company's official website, in 1966 a 418-meter experimental well for water extraction was bored on the skirts of Minsk, near the Chelyuskintsev Park, and the same year a separate shop was formed for production of alcohol-free beverages of the "Belarus" brewing plant. In 1967 the shop was reorganized to "Minsk Soft Drink Company" and included to the established Republican Association of Brewing and Alcohol-Free Industry "Belpivo". Production of natural fruit juices based beverages was started in 1973, and production of herbal aromatic infusions and tea was started in 1975. In 1978 a well having the depth of 390 m was put into commission. Reconstruction took place at the plant in 1979–1985, resulting in increase of production and storing areas by several times. Cooperation with Pepsi Company took place in 1985–1993. In 1987 an artesian well having the depth of 380 m was put into commission. In 1989 annual output of mineral waters reached the level of 45 mln. bottles. The history of "Minskaya-4" mineral water traces its origin to 1929, and it has been extracted since 1978 from the legally registered and protected underground source at the depth of 360 meters.
