Mind Over Matter Records

Mind Over Matter Records (often abbreviated MOMR) is an American independent record label. Its catalog and public communications center on physical, collector-oriented releases — particularly limited-edition seven-inch singles and vinyl-only EPs — spanning genres that sit between industrial noise, post-hardcore, and experimental pop. The label's roster has included acts such as Vita Ruina, Dad Hats, Mare LaMacchia (a project featuring Mike Mare of dalek and John LaMacchia of Candiria and Julie Christmas), and Rising Fawn. Releases are typically announced through the label's website and social channels, with pre-orders for vinyl pressings offered alongside streaming availability. Mind Over Matter Records operates as a private, independent entity and does not disclose corporate ownership or a parent company in its public materials. Its output is characterized by a curatorial, small-batch approach: singles and EPs are pressed in limited quantities, and some tracks are initially exclusive to the vinyl format before wider digital release. The label's name and branding emphasize a DIY, artist-forward ethos common to American independent music imprints.

Mind Over Matter Records is an American independent record label. Public information about the label is limited, but its own release announcements and catalog activity document an active imprint focused on physical, collector-oriented music. The label's roster has grown to include a mix of new and returning acts across experimental and heavy-music adjacent genres. In March 2026, the label announced the addition of Rising Fawn and the release of Season of Eve, a 30-minute EP described as the band's first new release in 11 years, following an earlier release on Equal Vision; the EP was issued as a vinyl-only release at the time. In April 2026, MOMR opened pre-orders for the debut EP by Mare LaMacchia, a project featuring Mike Mare of dalek and John LaMacchia of Candiria and Julie Christmas, characterized by the label as living between industrial noise and pop. In May 2026, the label released Dad Hats' single Never Better with an accompanying music video and a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl pressing. In August 2026, MOMR welcomed Vita Ruina and released the single Modern Frames, which included a B-side available only on vinyl until later in the year, alongside a limited-edition seven-inch. Across these releases, the label has consistently emphasized limited vinyl pressings, pre-order campaigns, and format-exclusive tracks, positioning itself within the American independent label ecosystem. No parent company, ownership structure, or founding date is disclosed in the available public evidence.
