Overview

Milion+ Entertainment (also styled Milion+, Milion Plus or M+) is a Czech hip-hop record label and commercial brand founded in 2015 out of the earlier YZO Empire collective. Its founding members included Yzomandias, Konex, Jickson, Karlo and Jackpot, and the label grew into one of the most visible forces in Czech rap, combining music releases with festival events, tours, documentaries and a direct-to-consumer merchandise line. The label's first official release was Konex's EP Musick, followed closely by Yzomandias's album Yzomandias, which helped define its early sound and identity. Over the years Milion+ has released albums, EPs and mixtapes by artists such as Yzomandias, Nik Tendo, Hasan, Karlo, Robin Zoot, Jickson, Kamil Hoffmann, Koky, Decky and others, and it has organised the Milion+ Festival and the KML Tour. Its catalogue includes releases that became emblematic of the label, such as the collective album KRTEK MONEY LIFE and Yzomandias's EP Melanž. The label has also expanded into non-music products: its official e-shop sells apparel and accessories such as hoodies, T-shirts, trucker caps, shorts and CDs, often tied to specific artists, releases or slogans. Milion+ operates primarily in the Czech and Slovak markets and is closely associated with the Czech rap scene. It is a private, artist-driven enterprise rather than a listed company, and its brand identity blends music, streetwear and youth culture. The label has weathered the loss of founding member Jackpot (JCKPT) in 2017 and the departure of co-founder Konex in 2020, while continuing to release music and merchandise. Its online store, milionplus.cz, serves as both a retail channel and a showcase for the label's visual identity, offering items such as the EXIT HOODIE, CNN TEE, TYBG TEE, ROCKSTAR TEE, ULT PALICE HOODIE and the book MILION PLUS X.

History

Milion+ Entertainment was founded in 2015 out of the earlier collective YZO Empire. Its founding members included Yzomandias (then still performing as Logic), Konex, Jickson, Karlo and Jackpot, among others. The label's first official release was Konex's EP Musick, and the launch period is closely tied to the release of Yzomandias's album Yzomandias. Later in 2015 the label issued further albums by its artists, including Karlo's 333 and Barber's Palác. In early 2016 Yzomandias released the album Gudlak with Karlo, and on the same day Robin Zoot's Cocktail Party came out. In April the label released its first full-label mixtape, Milion+ Paradise, whose track "Milion+ rmx" became one of its most-watched videos. Hasan's album Oceán, Yzomandias's Ze dna, Jickson's Origami, Koky's EP Mám to and Yzomandias's mixtape J. Eden followed before the end of the year. 2017 began with tragedy: founding member JCKPT (Jackpot) died by suicide on 11 January, and the label held a farewell event in a Prague club on 20 January. Despite this, the label continued releasing music, including Hasan's EP Loft, Nik Tenda's EP GoldCigo, Karlo's 666 and Yzomandias's Zhora vypadá všechno líp, whose track "Holly Molly" became the label's most-watched video for a long period. In late July the first Milion+ Festival took place with the whole label performing. Nik Tendo's collaborative album GoldKid with Decky arrived in September, Robin Zoot released 0002 in October, and the label closed the year with JCKPT's posthumous EP 111. Around this time Lvcas Dope left the label due to internal disagreements. In 2018 the label's first release was Yzomandias's Sbohem Roxano, which later earned a platinum record. Kamil Hoffmann released V Sieti with the Slovak group Conspiracy Flat in June, Nik Tendo released his debut album 7, and Viktor Sheen and Jickson released Grál in July. The second Milion+ Festival was held that July with guests including Viktor Sheen and Slovak rapper Zayo. Robin Zoot released TMVCJN in September, and the year ended with the collective album KRTEK MONEY LIFE, which charted highly and became an iconic symbol of the label. In April 2019 Hasan released his eponymous album Hasan, and Yzomandias released J. Eden Dva in late May. The KML Tour took place in May and June with all label members at every stop. Konex and Kamil Hoffmann released Corretto in late June, Koky released the EP Da Kyko in summer, Karlo released the compilation Sedel Som Na Káve in September, and Decky released his first album Kingpin in late September. Nik Tendo's Fatamorgana and Yzomandias's Dobrá Duše, Srdce Ze Zlata both charted highly in late 2019. In February 2020 the documentary Krtek Money Life premiered, capturing behind-the-scenes footage from the KML Tour. Nik Tendo and Yzomandias announced the Double Trouble tour, which was halted in March by the COVID-19 pandemic. Karlo released 999 in March, completing his 333/666/999 trilogy. Konex and Decky released the EP KARANTENA PARTY in April as a response to the pandemic, and Nik Tendo released the EP Restart. In May, Yzomandias, Nik Tendo, Jickson, Karlo and Robin Zoot took part in the #hot16challenge2 challenge, and in June the label officially released the resulting tracks as #hot16challenge2. Robin Zoot released Pouzar in mid-June, Konex released his first solo album VOILÀ in July, and Yzomandias released the EP Melanž in August, which became his most popular release on streaming services. The Double Trouble tour resumed for two stops in September before being postponed again. Nik Tendo released the EP Lunazar, and in early October founding member Konex left the label. Hasan released Prototyp in October, Yzomandias released Prozyum in late November, and Nik Tendo closed the year with the single "Malá Biš". In early 2021 Karlo released the EP Sabotage, notably on audio cassette. Nik Tendo announced the official end of the Double Trouble tour. Yzomandias won the Muž Roku 2020 poll and announced Prozyum (Director's Cut), a deluxe version of Prozyum. Kamil Hoffmann released Katalóg in March, and Koky released his debut album Stát Ve Stínu, Dotýkat Se Hvězd the same month. Hasan released the instrumental project Echo in May, and Robin Zoot released Robby Trouble in June. The magazine Refresher described the label in 2019 as one of the most important forces in Czech rap.
