Overview

Michigan Natural Storage is a temperature-controlled logistics company established in 1957, providing over 8,000,000 cubic feet of temperature-controlled space in Western Michigan. It offers freezer, cooler, and dry storage services across multiple facilities.

History

Michigan Natural Storage began operations at its original Wyoming facility in 1957. The property had previously been a gypsum mine operated by the Alabastine Mining Company until 1943. Bert Kragt purchased the property in 1946 and later, with his son Paul, converted the mine into a natural underground warehouse for the nearby produce market. They added cooling units and built above-ground freezers in 1973, 1975, and 1977 as frozen product volume grew.
