Overview

Edizioni Meravigli is a publishing house founded in the late 1970s, known for its catalog focused on the city of Milan, its history, culture, and traditions. It originated from a historic stationery shop in via Meravigli 18 that became a specialized bookstore.

History

The historic stationery shop at via Meravigli 18 was taken over in 1975 and soon transformed into a bookstore specialized in volumes dedicated to the city of Milan. In 1976-7, the publishing house Meravigli was founded. In December 1980, the Mayor Tognoli awarded the Libreria Milanese the civic merit. In January 2011, the Libreria Milanese in via Meravigli was given in management (it would close definitively at the beginning of 2015). The publishing house Meravigli continued to expand its catalog, with increasing attention to the transformations affecting the city of Milan. After fifty years of activity, Meravigli boasts a rich and varied catalog and is today the main publishing reality specialized in Milan: its history, culture, and traditions.
