Mediengruppe Magdeburg

Mediengruppe Magdeburg is a network of strong regional companies from the media and service sectors, firmly rooted in Saxony-Anhalt and looking back on a 130-year tradition. From a publishing house and an independent printing operation, it developed after its takeover by the Bauer Media Group in 1991 into a dynamic company with growth-strong business fields — Mitteldeutsche Verlags- und Druckhaus GmbH (MVD). Under the umbrella brand Mediengruppe Magdeburg, diverse reach- and target-group-oriented products, services and brands are united, reaching 1,160,350 households every week — from Arendsee to Zerbst, from Uelzen to Genthin and of course in the state capital Magdeburg. Its products and services include the "Volksstimme", the "General-Anzeiger", the "Wochenspiegel", the logistics service provider biber post, the ticket portal biber ticket and the shopping portal biber shop as well as the "Mein" products in classic and digital form. Through these offerings, the group achieves nearly complete reader coverage in the entire northern Saxony-Anhalt and partially adjacent areas.
