Overview
Medical Meal Service Co., Ltd. (株式会社医療給食) is a Japanese company headquartered in Nakagiri-cho, Kita-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Founded in September 1996 and formally established in March 1997, it began as a provider of home-delivered therapeutic and care meals for elderly and ill customers, and has since expanded into a diversified health-and-welfare group. Its core meal-delivery business prepares meals based on counseling by registered dietitians, tailored to individual dietary and medical needs, and it is a designated meal-delivery provider under the long-term care insurance systems of several municipalities in Aichi Prefecture, including Nagoya City, Kitakyushu (Kitanagoya), Nisshin, Toyoake, Toyoyama, and Kasugai. Beyond meal delivery, the company operates care facilities under the "Oasis" brand — including fee-based elderly homes with care services, group homes for elderly people with dementia, and support facilities for people with disabilities — as well as home-care support offices. In 2011 it established the social welfare corporation Yasuragi-no-Sato (社会福祉法人やすらぎの郷), extending its activities into childcare support alongside elderly and disability welfare. It has also entered the fitness industry with 24-hour gyms under the FIT-EASY brand, and in 2023 opened its own farm and a wild-game (gibier) processing facility in Takato-cho, Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, the hometown of its president. The company is privately held and led by President Shogo Fujikawa, with Tetsuharu Fukuda serving as Senior Advisor and Chairman. As of the Reiwa 7 fiscal year it reported sales of 2,190 million yen and employed 346 people, including registered dietitians, nutritionists, care managers, care workers, cooks, and nurses. It maintains relationships with numerous regional banks and credit unions. Its stated mission is to contribute to "healthy and prosperous living" through continuous new challenges, and it pursues SDGs-related activities such as supporting foreign workers under the specified skills program and promoting community-based living.
