MDT

MDT is a manufacturer of KNX products for the automation of commercial and private buildings. The company states it has been developing and manufacturing electrotechnical products for 40 years, and that it develops and manufactures KNX technology for smart building automation 'Made in Germany'. It was founded in 1984 as MCI and renamed MDT technologies in 2005; since 2009 it has developed and produced exclusively KNX products. Its product range is described as one of the most extensive KNX product ranges on the market, with around 600 different KNX products.

MDT states that it has been developing and manufacturing electrotechnical products for 40 years. It was founded in 1984 as MCI and, in its first 25 years, produced personal computers, memory and PC accessories. After ceasing computer production in 1996, it produced exclusively memory for PCs. In 2005 it officially renamed itself from MCI to MDT technologies, because the brand name of the memory was increasingly equated with the company name. Since 2009 it has developed and produced exclusively KNX products; its first range comprised 29 products, including a binary input with integrated logic function. The company develops and manufactures in Engelskirchen in the Oberbergisches region (near Cologne).
