MartinLogan is a premium HiFi speaker brand offering speakers, wireless systems, soundbars, powered subwoofers, architectural and outdoor models. The brand states that it harnesses the technical advantages of electrostatic principles to recreate sound in its truest form, a philosophy it calls "Truth in Sound." Its name derives from founders Gayle Martin Sanders and Ron Logan Sutherland, who met in the late 1970s at a high-end audio store Sanders managed in Lawrence, Kansas, and who shared a passion for music and electrostatic loudspeakers.

MartinLogan's name comes from its founders, Gayle Martin Sanders and Ron Logan Sutherland; Sanders explained that "MartinLogan 'just sounded better than SandersSutherland.'" Despite very different backgrounds—Sanders had trained in architecture and advertising, Sutherland in electrical engineering—they shared a passion for music and, they soon discovered, electrostatic loudspeakers.
