Malaysian Pacific Industries Berhad (MPI) is principally an investment holding company whose subsidiaries are engaged in providing outsourced semiconductor packaging and testing services (OSAT) for customers across the globe. Its key subsidiaries include Carsem (M) Sdn Bhd, Carsem Semiconductor (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Carsem Advanced Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., and Carsem Semiconductor (Bangkok) Ltd. MPI is a public listed company whose shares are traded on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, and it is a constituent of the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index. The company was incorporated in Malaysia on 5 October 1962 as Federal Paper Products Limited, converted to a public company on 21 April 1969, changed its name to MPI on 25 May 1983, and was admitted to the Official List of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now Bursa Securities) on 29 September 1983.

Malaysian Pacific Industries Berhad ("MPI") was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Ordinances 1940 to 1946 as a private limited company on 5 October 1962 under the name of Federal Paper Products Limited. It was converted to a public company on 21 April 1969. The name was changed from Federal Paper Products Berhad to MPI on 25 May 1983 and it was admitted to the Official List of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now known as Bursa Securities) on 29 September 1983. As at 30 June 2021, the issued share capital of MPI was RM 352.4 million comprising 209,884,419 MPI Shares (including 10,988,000 treasury shares). MPI is principally an investment holding company, while its subsidiaries are engaged in manufacturing, assembling, testing and sale of integrated circuits, semiconductor devices, electronic components and leadframes to customers world-wide, and in providing outsourced semiconductor packaging and testing services (OSAT). MPI is a public listed company whose shares are traded on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, and it is a constituent of the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index.
