Overview

Mahkamaty (Arabic: محكمتي, "My Court") is a Moroccan online legal-services platform founded in 2015 in Kenitra by Ayman Sanoussi, a graduate of the National School of Computer Science and Systems Analysis in Rabat. It began as a legal magazine that collected and published decisions, judgments and jurisprudence of Moroccan courts and the Court of Cassation in written form, with a small legal-consultation section. As demand for accessible legal information grew, the consultation side overtook the magazine and the homepage was converted into a legal-consultation site. The platform's mission is to make legal information easier for the general public to reach, by simplifying how questions are submitted and by providing legal expertise to answer them quickly. It offers a free consultation service open to the public, and paid services for users who do not want to wait or who want confidentiality: an urgent-question service with an answer from accredited experts in under 24 hours starting from 500 dirhams, and a private-question service where the question is hidden from the public and visible only to accredited experts. Multiple secure payment methods are offered, including cash payment in Morocco. More recently Mahkamaty has built a court case-tracking service covering Moroccan courts. Users can search for the latest available status of a case file by file number and court, then activate continuous monitoring with WhatsApp and email alerts when a hearing, decision, appeal or other change is recorded. The service is structured in stages: Stage 01 monitoring from 199 dirhams, Stage 02 an urgent legal answer from 500 dirhams, and Stage 03 obtaining a full copy of the final confirmed judgment from 399 dirhams, delivered via a secure download link. The company states that its court directory covers 215 supported courts, including 187 ordinary courts, and that the official source of judicial data is the mahakim.ma portal, while Mahkamaty's role is follow-up and alerting. Mahkamaty describes itself as an independent search, tracking and alerting service that does not replace official procedures before courts or competent administrations.

History

Mahkamaty was founded in 2015 in Kenitra, Morocco, by Ayman Sanoussi, born on 6 November 1990 in Kenitra and a graduate of the National School of Computer Science and Systems Analysis in Rabat. He created the site with the help of a friend working as a legal expert in Morocco. Before founding Mahkamaty, Sanoussi had launched a classified-ads startup that he ran for two years before ending the project and devoting his spare time to developing Mahkamaty. The project idea won third place in a startup competition in Germany in 2014 (GASC2014). Initially the site focused on building a magazine that gathered decisions, judgments and jurisprudence of Moroccan courts and the Court of Cassation and made them available in written form to ease access for legal professionals. The legal-consultation section was at first a simple branch of the site. Over time the consultation side achieved notable success compared with the legal magazine, reflecting public demand for legal information, and the decision was made to convert the homepage into the legal-consultation site. The platform's mission and vision are to facilitate access to legal information for the general public by simplifying how questions are submitted and by providing legal expertise to answer quickly. It offers a free consultation service open to the public, noting the shortage of accredited legal experts on the site and the high volume of questions from visitors. It also provides paid services for those who cannot wait their turn or who want to ask questions in complete confidentiality: an urgent-question service with an answer from experts in under 24 hours, priced according to question length starting from 500 dirhams, and a private-question service where the question is hidden from the public and visible only to accredited experts. Multiple secure payment methods are offered, including cash payment for users in Morocco. Mahkamaty later expanded into court case tracking. Its case-tracking service lets users search for the latest available status of a case file by file number and court, then activate continuous monitoring with WhatsApp and email alerts when a hearing, decision, appeal or other change is recorded. The service is organized into stages: Stage 01 monitoring from 199 dirhams, Stage 02 an urgent legal answer from 500 dirhams, and Stage 03 obtaining a full copy of the final confirmed judgment from 399 dirhams, delivered via a secure download link.
