Machida Endoscope (Japan)

MACHIDA Endoscope Co., Ltd. was founded in 1956 as a manufacturer of medical endoscopes. It is one of the few companies in the world that was able to provide flexible fiberoptic endoscopes at that time. The company has expanded into industrial endoscopes, optical sensors, and laser related equipment. In 2018, it joined the NIPRO Corporation Group.

MACHIDA Endoscope Co., Ltd. was founded in 1956. In 1963, it made the first trial product of Fiber Gastroscope for diagnosis in Japan. In 1964, it made the first trial product of Fiber Gastroscope for biopsy in the world. The company was incorporated in 1967. In 1968, it started sales of industrial borescopes. In 2013, the head office and factory moved to Abiko City, Chiba Prefecture. In 2018, it joined the NIPRO Corporation Group.
