Overview

Lucky Bike is a German bicycle retailer that has been offering bicycles since 1994 and describes itself as one of Germany's largest bicycle dealers. It sells brand-name bicycles from top manufacturers, along with exclusive brands and accessories, through its online shop and its nationwide stores. The company states it has over 40 locations in Germany, more than 1 million satisfied customers, and over 100,000 brand bicycles.

History

Lucky Bike was founded in 1994 by two bicycle-enthusiast students, Christian Morgenroth and Thomas Böttner, who sold high-quality brand bicycles at low prices in Leipzig. During their studies, the two founders sold used bicycles in Leipzig for half a year, and after achieving success they expanded the business with support from Mr. Böttner Senior, the founder of Radlbauer. Later, Dietmar Eickelmann joined the management and the online shop was launched, followed shortly by a YouTube channel with test videos and service topics and tutorials about bicycles. A central shipping warehouse of 20,000 square meters was established in Rossau. The 29th store was opened with a new store concept in Wiesbaden, and the online shop also received a new look.
