History

LISt Lab Laboratorio was founded in 2007 with the intention of developing an international editorial laboratory characterised by a multidisciplinary approach to architecture, planning, the arts, photography and design. In its first decade it published more than 150 books and printed over 60,000 copies, disseminating scientific studies and knowledge across various fields of design. In 2021 the parent entity List Group was founded, aiming to create networks and promote cultural debate, and to organise events from which new knowledge about architecture, the contemporary city and landscape could develop. Today List Group comprises ListLab (the publishing house), Blacklist (a creative graphic design studio specialising in branding, editorial design and web development), Instaura (an information weblog gathering contemporary stories on architecture, cities, art, technology and society), and Us/Them/Yours (a multimedia communication and podcast development agency creating a multisensory approach to knowledge and information). One of the group's projects, Instaura, was founded in 2014 in Naples by Arch. Andrea Damiati and Eng. Vincenzo Iovino. It has carried out hundreds of activities with concrete impact on territories, especially in Campania and Tuscany, including a mapping of 90 geo-located assets, 135 itineraries, 40 workshops and three major ideas competitions for Naples and Matera. The abrupt halt of 2020 prompted reflection on the path taken, from which new objectives and ambitions emerged, first among them expanding the network nationally and internationally.
