Li-Zenn Publishing (Thai: บริษัท ลายเส้น พับบลิชชิ่ง จำกัด) is a Thai independent publishing house founded in 2006 by the architect and National Artist Nithi Sthapitanonda. Based in Bangkok, the company specialises in high-quality illustrated books on architecture, art, history, life and philosophy, with a particular focus on documenting and promoting Thai architecture and design to both domestic and international audiences. The publisher's catalogue is built around handsome, four-colour hardcover editions in English, complemented by a substantial list of Thai-language titles. Its flagship series include 'Houses by Thai Architects', 'Resorts by Thai Architects', 'Architectural Drawings of Historic Buildings & Places in Thailand', 'Architecture of Lanna', 'Thailand Glory' and 'Baan Thai', alongside the 'Thailand Master House Series' and 'Thailand Architecture in Steel' volumes. Li-Zenn Publishing was founded in 2006 (B.E. 2549) by Nithi Sthapitanonda, a prominent Thai architect and National Artist. Sthapitanonda had long harboured a passion for book publishing and a desire to produce well-designed books. After more than 23 years of running his own architecture firm and over 35 years in the architectural field, he decided to establish a publishing house dedicated to printing architectural and design books. The company was created with the intention of producing high-quality illustrated books on architecture, art, history, life and philosophy that would meet international standards for both local and overseas readers. A central motivation was to address the relative lack of print media documenting the work of Thai architects, compared with neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, and further afield in Japan, Korea and China, which had long produced books showcasing their architects' works in bookstores worldwide. In its first 12 years, Li-Zenn produced more than 100 books. Its English-language list focuses on handsome editions illustrating the best of recent and historical Thai architecture, art and design, while its Thai-language list includes a series of interviews with Thai architects, inexpensive textbooks for students, and informal books on drawing, illustration and travel.
