LEGO Aqua Raiders

LEGO Aqua Raiders was a short-lived LEGO construction-toy theme launched by The LEGO Group in 2007 and discontinued within the same year. Its narrative centered on a team of technologically equipped divers undertaking an underwater treasure-hunting mission in the Bermuda Triangle. The divers were portrayed as an expedition team willing to descend into dangerous waters in search of hidden riches, while facing hostile marine creatures including sharks, lobsters, octopuses, crabs, angler fish, and sea snakes. The theme was related to the earlier Aquazone family of LEGO products. Aquazone was produced during the 1990s, and an Aquaraiders subtheme released three sets in 1997. In 2007, the concept returned in a revised form as the standalone Aqua Raiders theme. The visual identity of Aqua Raiders relied heavily on an underwater expedition aesthetic. Many of the bases and vehicles used yellow and black elements, while the diver minifigures wore blue-and-black wetsuits and blue goggles over black helmets. The theme’s logo used a blue, forked trident, reinforcing its maritime setting and adventure focus. As with many LEGO action themes, the sets combined construction with character-based play, allowing children to build an environment, stage encounters with sea creatures, and connect the separate vehicles and locations into a broader expedition story. The blue forked-trident logo provided a simple symbol for the theme and communicated its underwater setting without relying on a real-world organization or brand. Seven sets were released in 2007.
