In 1996, Xiamen Leelen Security Electronics Co., Ltd. was established, and in 2002, Xiamen Leelen Technology Co., Ltd. was established. In 2003, Leelen Electrical Control Technology Co., Ltd. was established. In 2007, it acquired Xiamen Zhonglin Machinery. In 2008, Xiamen Leelen High Voltage Electric Co., Ltd. was established. In 2012, it partnered with Italian century-old company AVE to establish Xiamen AVE Leelen Technology Co., Ltd. In 2015, joint laboratories were set up with Xiamen University and Jimei University, and Leelen IoT Technology Research Institute was established. In 2016, it participated in the compilation of national standards for smart home and smart community, serving as the chief editor unit for smart home national standards. In 2017, its smart community and smart home integrated solutions won the "First Smart Community Construction Excellent Solution". In 2018, it was rated as one of the "Top Ten Most Influential Brands in Smart Home". In 2019, it won the "Ministry of Public Security Science and Technology First Prize". In 2023, it established the Leelen Academician Workstation with Academician Zhang Bo, cooperated with Academician Zhao Zhenye of Jimei University on fatigue-resistant new materials, set up the "National Smart Standard Committee Digital Home Xiamen Training Base", and was awarded the National Industrial Design Center title, among other recognitions. In 2024, the secretariat of the Smart Community and Smart Home Professional Committee of China Security & Protection Industry Association was established at Leelen's Xiamen headquarters, and it became a council member of the China Community Development Association.
