Founded in 1940 as Laiterie de Coaticook Limitée by Arthur Bédard, Arthur St-Cyr, and Henri Gérin, the company specialized in pasteurized dairy products, preparing milk, chocolate milk, and cream. In 1942, Mr. Bédard bought the shares of his partners and, with his sons, added ice cream and cheddar cheese production. In 1968, the family business reoriented due to new government policies.
