Laboratório Fantasma

Laboratório Fantasma is a Brazilian independent record label founded in 2008 by rapper Emicida. It began as an extension of the DIY hip-hop collective Na Humilde Crew, releasing Emicida's early singles and mixtapes before evolving into a full-fledged label. The label's first release was the single "Triunfo" in 2008, produced by Felipe Vassão, followed by the mixtape "Pra quem já Mordeu um Cachorro por Comida, até que eu Cheguei Longe...", which sold around 3,000 copies at R$2 each. In 2009 and 2010, the label released a steady stream of singles, EPs, and mixtapes, including "Besouro" (January 2010), the EP "Sua Mina Ouve Meu Rep Tamém" (February 2010), the single "Emicídio" (August 2010), and the mixtape "Emicídio" (September 2010). It also released Axl's mixtape "Caos Pessoal" in October 2010. The label's roster has included Emicida, DJ Nyack, and Axl. Operating out of São Paulo, Laboratório Fantasma has become a key platform for Brazilian hip-hop, blending music releases with broader cultural and social projects.
