Scrutiny of the Hispanoamérica TV offshore structure
La Tele's early legal and licensing structure attracted scrutiny because Hispanoamérica TV was registered in Panama and associated with an offshore vehicle created through Mossack Fonseca. The arrangement was questioned in the context of Paraguayan restrictions on figurehead companies in broadcasting. The company was proposed for dissolution in 2012 and dissolved in April 2013.
