History

Ku Label was founded in 2005 by KREVA, a member of the hip-hop group KICK THE CAN CREW, together with CUEZERO (with whom KREVA had collaborated as BY PHAR THE DOPEST) and SONOMI (who had appeared on KREVA's second single, "Hitori ja nai no yo"). The label's first release was SONOMI's "Hitori ja nai no yo" in 2005. On June 20, 2005, the first "Ku Label Festival" was held at Shibuya AX, where a venue-limited compilation album, "Ku Label Compilation: Sono Ichi," was released. In 2006, the second compilation, "Ku Label Compilation: Sono Ni 100% RAP," was released exclusively at Shinseido. Subsequent compilations included "Sono San: Sono San wa SONOMI" (2006), "Sono Yon: Ku Label is dead?" (2009), and "Sono Go: Sono Go wa Goro no Gokyoku" (2009). The label also released mini-albums such as CUEZERO's "Baaaack!" (2007) and 将絢 × EVISBEATS's "offutaride" (2010). In 2013, the label released L-VOKAL's album "Betsujin L Vocal." The label continues to be associated with KREVA's activities.
