History
Księgarnia Akademicka Publishing began as a bookstore of the same name, established in 1992 in Krakow, specializing in the distribution of academic literature, especially publications of the Jagiellonian University. In subsequent years it gradually expanded and eventually started its own publishing activities, so that for nearly 30 years it has been present in the Krakow and Polish academic community as both a bookstore and a publishing house. In 2019 it appeared on the scored list of publishers of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. It also entered the world of electronic publications and the Internet, running an online bookstore and developing an online platform presenting electronic versions of its publications. In addition to its bookstore located near the Main Market Square in Krakow, in a historic building of the oldest Polish university, it operates an online bookstore.
