Kissler Brewery

Kissler sörfőzde (Kissler Brewery) is a Hungarian microbrewery based in Dombóvár, founded in 1993 as a family business by László Kiss and his wife Erzsébet Fadler. It operates from a brewery built in the backyard of a family house and is described as the only microbrewery in the Dombóvár subregion. The brewery produces traditional light and brown beers as well as fruit and spiced specialty beers, including the official drink of the Hungarian National Blue Tour, Blue Beer. Its products have won numerous domestic and international awards, notably at the Global Craft Beer Awards in Berlin in 2014. The company also runs a beer garden (Kissler-Sörkert) in Dombóvár-Gunaras with seasonal opening from March to November, and launched a webshop in 2021 for nationwide delivery.

Kissler sörfőzde was founded in 1993 by László Kiss and his wife Erzsébet Fadler as a family business, after they encountered the concept of private breweries in the early 1990s. The brewery is located in Dombóvár, built in the backyard of a family house. In its first decade, the main profile was the production of traditional light and brown beers. Later, under pressure from domestic and international markets, the brewery began producing fruit and spiced beers. The brewery is noted as the only microbrewery in the Dombóvár subregion. It produces the official drink of the Hungarian National Blue Tour, Blue Beer, as well as beers named after local figures and places such as Pál Dombó and Gunaras. The company has won numerous domestic and international awards, including at the Global Craft Beer Awards in Berlin in 2014, where Kissler-Holló beer was named the most innovative beer. In 2021, the brewery launched a webshop for nationwide delivery. As of 2023, an Esperanto beer is also available from Dombóvár.
