Kirishima

Kirishima is a city in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, located on the north side of Kagoshima Bay. It is the second most populous city in Kagoshima Prefecture. Because it sits where the Satsuma Peninsula and Osumi Peninsula meet and borders Miyazaki Prefecture, it serves as a transportation hub for Kagoshima Prefecture; many national roads and railways pass through it, and Kagoshima Airport, the largest airport in southern Kyushu, is located there.
