KING JIM

KING JIM is a Japanese company whose history page records its founding lineage from 1927, when founder Miyamoto Eitaro released a patent人名簿 and 印鑑簿, through the 1948 establishment of 株式会社名鑑堂, the 1961 renaming to 株式会社キングジム, and the launch of products such as キングファイルG (1964), クリアーファイル (1976), テプラ (1988), and ポメラ (2008). The company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 1987 and moved to the Prime Market in 2022.

According to the company's official history page, in 1927 founder Miyamoto Eitaro released a patent人名簿 and 印鑑簿. In 1948, 株式会社名鑑堂 was established and began producing and selling loose-leaf sheets, binders, and various files. An Osaka branch was opened in 1953. In 1961, the company name was changed to 株式会社キングジム and a Nagoya branch was opened. In 1964, キングファイルG was released. Miyamoto Kenzo became president in 1967. クリアーファイル was released in 1976. A Fukuoka branch was opened in 1981. Miyamoto Kozo became president in 1982. The Tokyo Logistics Center was opened in 1984. In 1987, shares were registered on the Tokyo over-the-counter market. The label writer テプラ was released in 1988. Miyamoto Akira became president in 1992. In 1993, cumulative sales of キングファイルG reached 100 million volumes and cumulative sales of テプラ reached 1 million units. PT.KING JIM INDONESIA was established in 1996, and KING JIM(MALAYSIA)SDN.BHD. in 1998. In 2001, the company listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and 長島商事株式会社 (now ラドンナ) became a group company. In 2002, 上海錦宮牧野国際貿易有限公司 (now 錦宮(上海)貿易有限公司) was established. In 2005, the company was designated to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and released 取扱説明書ファイル. In 2007, KING JIM(VIETNAM)Co.,Ltd. was established. In 2008, 株式会社アスカ商会 became a group company and digital memo ポメラ was released. In 2011, ショットノート was released and cumulative sales of the キングファイル series reached 500 million volumes. In 2012, 錦宮(香港)有限公司 was established. In 2014, 株式会社ぼん家具 became a group company. In 2015, president Miyamoto Akira received the 藍綬褒章. In 2018, cumulative sales of テプラ reached 10 million units. In 2020, ウインセス株式会社 became a group company. In 2021, ライフオンプロダクツ株式会社 became a group company. In 2022, the company moved to the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market, and 株式会社エイチアイエム became a group company (merged with the company in February 2023). In 2024, Kimura Miyoko became president.
