History
Kaga Amusement Co., Ltd. was established on April 2, 2007, through a spin-off of the amusement division of Kaga Electronics Co., Ltd. The origins of the business trace back to Able Corporation, which filed for civil rehabilitation proceedings on May 10, 2006. Kaga Electronics, as a creditor, proposed to take over Able Corporation's amusement-related equipment sales business, and with the permission of the Tokyo District Court, Kaga Electronics acquired that business from Able Corporation on August 28, 2006. At the same time, the operations previously conducted by Able Corporation were taken over by the AM Sales Department of Kaga Electronics' Special Equipment Business Division. On February 7, 2007, Kaga Electronics announced that it would spin off the amusement division within the AM Sales Department of its Special Equipment Business Division into Kaga Amusement Co., Ltd. effective April 1, 2007. Kaga Amusement was established on April 2, 2007, and simultaneously took over the amusement division from Kaga Electronics through an absorption-type split. After the spin-off, Kaga Amusement engaged not only in the planning, development, manufacturing, and sale of its own products, but also in the sale of products from group company Kaga Device, the sale of products from other companies such as Kitanippon Communication Industry, and the import of overseas manufacturer products. In 2018, the company jointly exhibited 'ATARI TABLE PONG' with Taito at the Japan Amusement Expo 2018. In December 2018, group company Kaga Device acquired the print sticker machine business from the bankruptcy trustee of Make Software, and Kaga Amusement has handled those products since the former Make Software era. The company also handles other companies' products such as the 'Dekacrane' series manufactured by Kitanippon Communication Industry, and is responsible for importing 'ATARI TABLE PONG' sold by Taito. As of 2022, Taketoshi Masuzawa serves as Representative Director and President. The company continues to operate as part of the Kaga Electronics Group, with overseas affiliates in Malaysia and the United States, and a domestic service center in Gunma Prefecture.
