Jura-Cement-Fabriken

Jura-Cement-Fabriken AG is a Swiss cement producer based in Wildegg. It operates two cement plants and a cement loading terminal in Visp. The company is part of the JURA Materials Group, which belongs to the international building materials group CRH since 2000.

Jura-Cement-Fabriken AG was founded in 1882 by Friedrich Rudolf Zurlinden as Zurlinden & Co. and built a cement factory in Aarau. In 1897, the company was converted into a joint-stock company, Jura-Cement-Fabriken AG, combining the two cement factories in Aarau and Wildegg. The Aarau plant was shut down in 1929. Since 2000, the company has belonged to the international building materials group CRH.
