Overview
JICC (Japan Credit Information Reference Center Corp.) is a designated credit information agency under the Money Lending Act, providing services to member companies and consumers. It collects, registers, manages, and provides credit information, and operates a disclosure system for consumers.
History
JICC was established in June 1986 as 'Kabushiki Kaisha Nihon Joho Center' (now Kabushiki Kaisha Nihon Shinyo Joho Kiko). In December 2007, it merged with 'Kabushiki Kaisha Ainet' and 'Kabushiki Kaisha Teranetto', with the surviving company changing its name to 'Kabushiki Kaisha Teranetto'. In April 2009, it changed its name to 'Kabushiki Kaisha Nihon Shinyo Joho Kiko' and succeeded the credit information business of 33 information centers affiliated with the National Credit Information Center Federation. In August 2009, it merged with 'Kabushiki Kaisha C.C.B.'.
