Jeplan

JEPLAN is a company that aims to circulate all things, with a mission of 'We circulate our world'. It operates commercial plant, technology licensing, apparel, and bottle businesses, and has developed proprietary PET chemical recycling technology.

JEPLAN was established in January 2007. In April 2007, it started a consulting business for uniform recycling. In June 2007, it began joint development of cotton fiber recycling technology with Osaka University. In June 2008, it succeeded in developing recycling technology to produce bioethanol from cotton fibers. In December 2008, it established Cotton Recycling Co., Ltd. in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo. In May 2009, a bench-scale plant for producing bioethanol from cotton fibers was completed and started operation in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. In July 2009, it established Mobile Recycling Co., Ltd. in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo. In January 2010, it started joint development of E-waste recycling technology for mobile phones with NTT Docomo. In April 2010, a small commercial plant for producing bioethanol from cotton fibers was completed and started operation in Imabari City. In May 2010, an E-waste recycling bench-scale plant was completed and started operation in Imabari City. In June 2010, it started the 'FUKU-FUKU Project' to collect clothing from consumers at stores and recycle them. In June 2011, the head office was moved to Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. In November 2011, a small commercial plant for recycling mobile phones was completed and started operation in Imabari City. In January 2015, Cotton Recycling and Mobile Recycling were absorbed and merged. In June 2015, it was adopted by the Ministry of the Environment for a project to promote overseas expansion of recycling businesses in Bangladesh.
