History
Japan Laser Corporation was established on April 16, 1968, with a capital of 5 million yen, as an import and sales trading company for lasers, with 10 individual shareholders. In 1971, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of JEOL Ltd. In 1974, capital increased to 10 million yen; in 1976, to 20 million yen. In 1977, Osaka sales office (now Osaka branch) was opened. In 1983, merged with Comtec Trading Co., Ltd., capital increased to 30 million yen. In 1989, Nagoya sales office (now Nagoya branch) was opened, and in June 1989, jointly with JEOL, established JEOL Liosonic Co., Ltd. In 1992, San Francisco office was opened. In 1993, Tsukuba sales office was opened. In 1995, head office moved to Nishi-Waseda, Shinjuku. In 2007, JLC Holdings Co., Ltd. was established.
