Hydranautics is one of the global leaders in membrane technology, applying state-of-the-art technology to manufacture advanced, high-performance membrane products. Founded in 1963, it entered the reverse osmosis (RO) membrane field in 1970. It was acquired by Nitto Denko Corporation of Japan in 1987 and became part of the Nitto Global Membrane Division (GMD). Headquartered in Oceanside, California, USA, it operates alongside a membrane manufacturing plant in the Shiga Region, Japan, and a worldwide network of sales offices and warehouses. Its products are used on all seven continents across applications including potable water, boiler feedwater, industrial process water, wastewater treatment, seawater desalination, residential water, electronic rinse water, agricultural irrigation, and pharmaceuticals.

Hydranautics was founded in 1963. It entered the Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane field in 1970. In 1987, the company was acquired by Nitto Denko Corporation of Japan and became part of the Nitto Global Membrane Division (GMD). The Nitto Global Membrane Division comprises two production facilities: Hydranautics, headquartered in Oceanside, California, USA, and a membrane manufacturing plant in the Shiga Region, Japan. These facilities, along with a network of offices and warehouses spanning the globe, provide 24/7 technical and sales support. Hydranautics' products are currently in use on all seven continents, with applications including potable water, boiler feedwater, industrial process water, wastewater treatment, surface water treatment, seawater desalination, residential water, electronic rinse water, agricultural irrigation, and pharmaceuticals. A network of worldwide sales offices throughout the USA, South America, Europe, and Asia supports its global business base.
