The Hudson River West Shore Railroad was a railroad line operating along the west bank of the Hudson River in New York State in the late 19th century, connecting New York City and Albany. It competed with the New York Central Railroad, was acquired by the latter in 1885, and parts of its trackage were later integrated into other systems.
