History
Harsco Rail, a division of Harsco Corporation, is one of the largest railroad maintenance equipment companies in the western hemisphere. Its history includes the founding of Fairmont Railway Motors in Fairmont, Minnesota in 1905, which originally supplied railway track motor cars and became a pioneer in mechanized track maintenance equipment. In 1923, Corwill Jackson founded Electric Tamper and Equipment Company in Ludington, Michigan, which later became Jackson Jordan. Tamper Corporation was founded in Canada in 1934 and was headquartered in West Columbia, South Carolina since 1966.
