Hankyu Shopping Center Development

Hankyu Shopping Center Development (株式会社阪急商業開発) is a Japanese company that develops and operates commercial facilities. It is a member of the H2O Retailing Group. The company was established in 1992 as HD Development, and after a merger and name changes, it became Hankyu Shopping Center Development in 2003 and then Hankyu Shopping Center Development (current name) in 2007. It operates properties such as Mosaic Mall Kohoku and Mosaic Box.

The company was established on April 17, 1992 as HD Development Co., Ltd. On April 1, 1997, Mosaic Development Co., Ltd. was established. On March 1, 2001, the two companies merged and the name was changed to Mosaic Development Co., Ltd. On April 1, 2003, the name was changed to Hankyu Shopping Center Development Co., Ltd. On October 22, 2007, the name was changed to the current Hankyu Shopping Center Development Co., Ltd. The company has developed and operated various commercial facilities, including Mosaic Box (opened April 1996), Mosaic Mall Kohoku (opened March 2000), Hankyu Oimachi Daily Shoppers (opened April 2000, closed March 2008), Mosaic Ginza Hankyu (opened October 2004, closed August 2012), Mosaic Dining Shijo Kawaramachi (opened March 2005, closed January 2015), and has been entrusted with the operation of Harborland Mosaic (April 2007 to September 2012), Kyoto Avanti (from October 2016, directly operated from April 2019), and Canart Rakuhoku (from October 2016, directly operated from April 2019, renamed Rakuhoku Hankyu Square in December 2019).
