Dubai Parks and Resorts is a large integrated leisure and theme-park destination in Jebel Ali, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Developed as part of Dubai's strategy to expand tourism and create destination-scale entertainment infrastructure, the resort brings together multiple separately branded attractions within a single complex covering approximately 25 million square feet. Its principal components include Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Dubai, Legoland Water Park, Riverland Dubai, Real Madrid World, and the Lapita Hotel. Bollywood Parks Dubai was a prominent original component but permanently closed in 2023. Its former site was subsequently used for Real Madrid World, a football-themed park developed in partnership with Real Madrid CF. Announced in 2022, Real Madrid World is dedicated to the club's history and identity and includes interactive experiences, themed rides, and football-related attractions. It opened in phases beginning in 2024. The destination has also undergone changes in its planned development pipeline. Six Flags Dubai was announced in 2016 but was cancelled in 2019 during financial restructuring. In 2025, construction began on a water-themed expansion associated with Motiongate Dubai. Dubai Parks and Resorts therefore represents an evolving destination rather than a fixed collection of attractions: its identity has shifted from the original multi-park opening toward a combination of globally licensed entertainment, family tourism, hospitality, dining, and sports-themed experiences.

Dubai Parks and Resorts originated as part of Dubai's broader effort to expand its tourism economy through large-scale leisure and entertainment developments. The project was first announced in 2009. Rather than creating one conventional amusement park, the plan called for an integrated destination containing several distinct parks, a themed dining and retail district, and a hotel. The destination's promotional program included the theme song "All the Wonders of the Universe," composed by Alan Menken, linking the opening campaign to a large-scale entertainment identity. The initial opening sequence took place between October and December 2016. Legoland Dubai and Riverland Dubai opened on 31 October. Real Madrid World was developed on the former Bollywood Parks site and began opening in phases in 2024. Its concept moved the destination beyond film and animation licensing into sports and club-based entertainment, with attractions and interactive experiences centered on Real Madrid's history and identity. By 2025, construction had begun on a water-themed expansion at Motiongate Dubai. This continued the resort's pattern of modifying and extending its attraction portfolio in response to changing development plans. Dubai Parks and Resorts is therefore best understood as an evolving leisure district rather than a single static theme park.
