Overview
The Deutsche Reichsbahn in East Germany was the national railway company of East Germany, founded in 1949, inheriting the East German part of the former Deutsche Reichsbahn. After German reunification in 1990, it merged with the West German Federal Railway to form Deutsche Bahn AG in 1994.
