CSC Steel Holdings Berhad

CSC Steel Holdings Berhad (CHB) is a Malaysian flat steel group incorporated in January 2004 and listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in December 2004. It wholly owns CSC Steel Sdn. Bhd. (CSCM), which was acquired by China Steel Corporation of Taiwan (CSC) in December 2000 as CSC's first offshore steel company. With over 30 years of flat steel manufacturing experience, the group produces pickled and oiled steel coils, cold rolled steel coils, galvanized steel coils and pre-painted metal products, serving mainly the domestic Malaysian market while exploring export opportunities. It markets coated steel brands including realzinc and realcolor.

In December 2000, China Steel Corporation of Taiwan (CSC) acquired its first offshore steel company, CSC Steel Sdn. Bhd. (CSCM). In January 2004, CSC Steel Holdings Berhad (CHB) was incorporated and acquired CSCM as its wholly-owned subsidiary in the same year. CHB was subsequently listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in December 2004. Under its parent company CSC, CSCM strengthened its competitiveness in domestic and international markets through capital injection for equipment upgrades and production line expansion, as well as technical support. Over the years, the domestic market has been the key market for CSCM, with a well-diversified customer base across Malaysia, while CSCM also seeks to export steel products to certain countries.

• Hot Rolled Pickled & Oiled Steel (PO)

  Basic structural material for underbodies, automotive wheels and inner parts, strapping, tubing, and rack.

• Cold Rolled Steel (CR)

  Used in automotive, home appliances, drum, pipe, tube, steel furniture, office equipment, and as base metal for coated steel products.

• Hot-Dipped Galvanized Steel (GI)

  Economical and effective coated steel product with Zn coating providing corrosion protection through barrier and galvanic protection effects.

• Pre-Painted Metal Product

  Metallic coated steel widely used in building materials such as awning, roofing, cladding, and wall panel.

• Medium and High Carbon Steel

  Carbon steel ranging from 0.29% to 0.95% carbon content and 0.30% to 1.65% manganese content, serving various industries.
