The CROss Alliance® group traces its origins to 1995, when Innopharma Srl was established in Italy as the first company to be created under the brand name CROss Alliance®. The following year, in 1996, CROSS SA was established in Switzerland, and in 1997 CROSS Research SA was founded. From the outset, the group's mission was to accompany emerging biotechnology companies and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies in the early clinical development of new potential drugs. After the implementation of the European Economic Area in January 2002, the group noted that Switzerland, although formally outside the new economic area, found itself at the centre of what it describes as a European Renaissance, participating due to geographical and historical reasons and thanks to its specific competences in the pharmaceutical field. This scenario gave Swiss companies, especially those able to cooperate with the new surrounding reality, a strong opportunity to grow. Driven by the need for highly specialized services in clinical development, CROSS Metrics SA was established in 2011 to provide a full service in data management and statistics. Over more than two decades, the CROss Alliance® group navigated positive and more complex periods, including the global economic crisis, and grew, evolved and increased its services and quality, becoming a firmly established niche CRO in the clinical trial arena. Today, CROss Alliance® provides tailored services to a large number of pharmaceutical companies, building highly motivated relationships that support continuous growth. The organization reports around 30 years of activity in clinical pharmacology and a portfolio of more than 500 clinical studies performed in healthy volunteers and patients.
