Croithlí

Croithlí is an Irish whiskey brand produced by Comhlacht Drioglann Thír Chonaill (the Donegal Distillery Company) in County Donegal, Ireland. The brand is closely associated with the Crolly Distillery, whose official site presents it as an award-winning, small-batch premium Irish whiskey "masterfully distilled by direct fire in the heart of Donegal's Gaeltacht." The name Croithlí is the Irish-language form of Crolly, the Donegal locality where the distillery is based, and the brand positions itself as a revival of whiskey-making in that Gaeltacht region. The distillery's public messaging emphasizes craft and place: "Every batch of Croithlí premium whiskey tells a story of bold revival, unwavering craftsmanship, and Donegal Gaeltacht character." The brand is marketed as a single-distillery Irish whiskey, and the company also operates a visitor experience, inviting customers to book a distillery experience alongside online purchases of Croithlí. Beyond bottle sales, Croithlí has developed a corporate-gifting line. The distillery's corporate gifts page offers "award-winning, small-batch, premium Donegal Irish Whiskey gifts" for clients and team members, with prices starting from €79, free delivery in Ireland and the UK, the option of a custom note, and easy online ordering. This suggests a dual focus on direct-to-consumer whiskey sales and corporate/branded gifting. The brand's identity is strongly tied to the Donegal Gaeltacht and the Irish language, using the Irish spelling Croithlí in its branding and presenting itself as part of the region's cultural and economic revival. Its official site is available in both English and Irish (with a /ga/ Irish-language section), reinforcing this bilingual, place-rooted positioning. As of the available evidence, Croithlí remains an active, privately held Irish whiskey brand operating a single distillery in Donegal. Detailed public information on founding year, founders, ownership structure, and production volumes is limited in the supplied sources, and the brand's Wikidata entry describes it simply as a "single distillery Irish whiskey."
