Country Casual Teak designs and sells solid teak outdoor furniture, including benches, dining tables, chairs and planters, along with teak care products. Its company history states that its founder, an avid gardener, received a set of teak garden benches from Britain as a gift from her husband, and that these benches inspired the creation of her company in 1977, Country Casual, which focused on gifts for gardeners including teak benches from Britain. The company mailed its first catalog in the 1980s, and subsequent issues shifted toward teak furniture as it grew in popularity. It also designs custom teak furniture for residential, small business and commercial spaces.

Country Casual Teak's company history states that its founder, an avid gardener, received a set of teak garden benches from Britain as a gift from her husband. The benches inspired the creation of her company in 1977, Country Casual, which focused on gifts for gardeners: dried flowers, wreaths, garden tools and teak benches from Britain. Country Casual exhibited nationwide at trade and professional shows, and hosted an annual open garden and craft shows featuring artisans, tours and demonstrations. Country Casual mailed its first catalog in the 1980s. Subsequent issues shifted toward teak furniture as it grew in popularity. The range of offerings expanded from benches to dining tables, chairs and planters as the company developed experience and expertise with teak furniture and channeled it into its own designs.
