History

Compass Therapeutics, Inc. is a company in Boston, United States. Thomas J. Schuetz, MD, PhD co-founded Compass in 2014 following conceptual discussions while he was a venture partner at OrbiMed; he serves as Chief Executive Officer and has over 20 years of experience in oncology, biopharmaceutical drug development and life science venture investing. The company takes an unbiased approach to drug discovery by leveraging its proprietary antibody discovery engine to broadly drug the immune system and identify optimal combinations empirically. Through its StitchMabs™ and common light chain platforms, these combinatorial insights can be rapidly translated into tailored bispecifics with monoclonal-like manufacturability. To date, Compass has drugged over 40 immune targets and generated a diverse pipeline of monoclonal and multispecific therapeutic candidates with potential to transform care for patients with cancer or autoimmune diseases, targeting the immune synapse with a new generation of antibody therapeutics.

  • Tovecimig

Studied in COMPANION-002, a Phase 2/3 study in adults with unresectable, advanced, metastatic or recurrent biliary tract cancer who have received one prior systemic chemotherapy regimen; the randomized study assesses the efficacy and safety of Tovecimig in combination with paclitaxel versus paclitaxel alone as a second-line therapy, with Overall Response Rate as the primary endpoint and progression-free survival and overall survival as secondary endpoints. Study enrollment is now closed.

  • CTX-8371

Studied in a Phase 1, open-label, first-in-human study of CTX-8371 administered as a monotherapy in patients with metastatic or locally advanced malignancies; the study is conducted in 2 cohorts: Dose Escalation and Dose Expansion.
