Codelocks states a 30-plus-year heritage that began with a battery-powered lock and a basic mechanical lock traded from an apartment in London. The operation moved to Berkshire, with the office based in converted stables, and grew with Desmond Ryan at the helm. The opportunity to design its own products came in 2004, allowing it to develop mechanical locks, electronic locks and its KitLock range of locker locks. Over the years it developed NetCode®, which led to its Smart Lock range, enabling access control solutions that integrate with apps and software. In 2023 the company added a sixth corporate value, 'we work for a sustainable future', and reduced the environmental impact of its operations and products.

Smarter access control for everyone, with user-friendly, cost-effective locks that are easy to fit and programme, can be retrofitted and do not require complex wiring or external power.
