Cityline

Cityline is a bus service brand operated by Connexxion in Assen, Netherlands. It comprises two bus lines that run through the city centre, using comfortable low-floor service buses with helpful drivers. The service stops at dedicated Cityline stops and regular public transport stops along its routes, and passengers can board anywhere along the route by hailing the bus. As of 1 April 2023, Connexxion introduced a new timetable for Cityline in Assen, operating two buses from Monday to Saturday with largely the same route. Tickets are purchased with PIN from the driver. The two lines are Cityline 7 (bedrijventerrein Borgstee-Peelo-Noorderpark-Centrum Assen-Oost) and Cityline 8 (Baggelhuizen-Centrum-Lariks-Pittelo). Some stops were removed and a few new stops added, with stop information updated in April. The buses feature wide doors and low floors for easy boarding, space for rollators or wheelchairs, and drivers assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and finding their seat. The Bonte Wever is included in one of the routes, and transfers are possible at the NS station and Winkelcentrum Nobellaan, with connections to NS sprinters at the station.
