Subsidiary Xingcheng Special Steel named by central environmental inspection for building blast furnace without capacity replacement
When giving feedback to Jiangsu, the Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection Team named CITIC Special Steel subsidiary Jiangyin Xingcheng Special Steel for building a 1,280-cubic-meter blast furnace in violation of rules without carrying out capacity replacement. A 2024 public notice said Xingcheng Special Steel had completed rectification of the capacity replacement by purchasing ironmaking capacity within the province.
