Ciné Jaude

Ciné Jaude was a cinema located in the Centre Jaude shopping centre in Clermont-Ferrand, France. It opened in 1980 and served the Clermont-Ferrand metropolitan area for more than four decades. The cinema was equipped for digital projection and 3D screenings, reflecting the technological transition of French cinemas in the 2000s and 2010s. In 2000, Ciné Jaude was integrated into the Davoine-Ciné Alpes group, alongside other local cinemas such as Ciné Capitole on Place de Jaude and Ciné Dôme in Aubière. In 2019, Davoine-Ciné Alpes was acquired by Pathé Gaumont, bringing Ciné Jaude under the ownership of one of France's largest cinema chains. Despite its central location and modern equipment, Ciné Jaude closed its doors on 31 July 2025. The closure marked the end of a cinema that had been a fixture of the Centre Jaude shopping centre and the local film exhibition landscape for 45 years.
