Overview

ChurchTools Innovations is a German software company that develops and operates ChurchTools, a GDPR-compliant all-in-one church management platform. The product was originally created in 2004 by Jens-Martin Rauen to organize the contact database of his youth group at Elim Hamburg. It spread to other congregations, and by 2010 several dozen churches in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France were using it. In 2015, Matthias Huber joined as CEO and, together with Rauen, founded ChurchTools Innovations UG, which later became ChurchTools Innovations GmbH. The company is based in Germany and serves more than 3,000 Protestant and Catholic parishes, Free Churches and Christian ministries worldwide. Its team of over 30 employees offers four products in eight languages, covering administration, communication, volunteer coordination and community building for churches. The platform aims to reduce administrative overhead so that churches can focus on their mission.
