Overview

Chugoku Electric WIRE Cable Co., Ltd. (中国電線工業株式会社) is a Japanese cable manufacturer headquartered in Fujiidera, Osaka. The company specializes in cabtyre cables — flexible, durable power and control cables used in industrial machinery, automotive plants, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, steelworks, and industrial robots. It is one of the relatively few domestic manufacturers capable of producing both vinyl cabtyre cables and rubber cabtyre cables, and it positions itself around multi-product, custom, and small-lot production. The company traces its manufacturing heritage to 1933, when Chugoku Special Electric Wire Manufacturing Works began producing rubber cabtyre cables in Osaka. The present corporation was established in 1950 as Tatsuta Valve Co., Ltd., renamed Miyake Electric Wire Manufacturing Works in 1956, and then merged with Chugoku Special Electric Wire Manufacturing Works in 1959 to form Chugoku Electric WIRE Cable Co., Ltd. Over the following decades it expanded its capital, opened Tokyo and Nagoya sales offices, added terminal processing, and obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. In 2007 it absorbed Marutoyo Electric Wire Co., Ltd. Today the company operates as part of the TATSUTA Group under Tatsuta Electric Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. Its product lineup includes multi-standard cables, industrial rubber cabtyre cables, special cabtyre cables, and vinyl cabtyre cables. It also offers cable assembly and terminal processing, and its products comply with Japanese, U.S., Canadian, European, and Chinese standards. The company markets its products under the "CHUGOKU" brand and emphasizes sustainability through its AgriBle series for agricultural and food applications, LC Servo series for NFPA79 compliance, and MSC series of world-standard cables. As of April 2026, it reported 97 employees and capital of 90 million yen. From April 2024, the product brands of Chugoku Electric WIRE Cable and Tatsuta Tatei Electric Wire were integrated into the Tatsuta Electric Wire & Cable brand.
