Jiama mine landslide and OECD review
A landslide at the Jiama mine site buried 83 workers. The event was followed by a request for review to Canada's National Contact Point for the OECD concerning activities in the Gyama Valley. A 2015 final statement made six recommendations relating to disclosure, labor practices, environmental management and human rights.
